IBM started making personal computers. At the bookstore, Stephen King's "Cujo" was found on the shelf of new releases. "Entertainment Tonight" was new on television. Leg warmers were popular. Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer married in London with people watching around the world via satellite. At the Grammy's, hosted by John Denver, "Bette Davis Eyes" by Kim Carnes won Record of the Year.
