In 1985, the most popular toys were Pound Puppies and Teddy Ruxpin, a teddy bear that talked and sang.  The average price of a movie ticket was $3.55.  It was the first year we made fun of the lady on the commercial who said "I've fallen and I can't get up!" (December 18th, to be exact).  There was, by the way, also a man on the commercial who said "I'm having chest pains".  On Monday January 28 in Los Angeles, 43 major music stars gathered to record "We Are The World" to raise funds to help fight famine in Africa.   A record 1.6 billion viewers along with capacity crowds in Philadelphia's JFK stadium and London's Wembly Arena watched 40 bands perform for 16 hours in "Live Aid".  Continuing with the aid theme, Willie Nelson, John Cougar Mellencamp and Neil Young hosted "Farm Aid" which raised $10 million for American farmers.
