In 1987, Rebecca Howe (Kirsty Alley) was the newest member of the "Cheers" gang.  "Rolling Stone" magazine celebrated 20 years of publication.  Artist Andy Worhol passed away.  The most popular catch phrase was "Isn't that special" started by Dana Carvey--The Church Lady, on "Saturday Night Live".  Pee-Wee's Playhouse was a popular Saturday morning cartoon enjoyed by children as well as adults.  American's watched and waited as rescuers spent 57 hours trying to get 18 month old "Baby Jessica" out of a well she had fallen into.  At the store, we first saw disposable cameras and 3-inch CD's.  MTV debuted in 14 countries in Europe.  Tiffany, still in High School, spent her summer promoting herself with the "Tiffany Shopping Mall Tour, 1987" where  she sang for free at shopping malls.
