MOTORIZED WHEELCHAIR:

A 21-year-old man got the ride of a lifetime when his electric

wheelchair became lodged in the grille of a semitrailer and was pushed

down a highway for several miles at about 50 mph.
 

OOPS WRONG PLACE:

Annapolis police raided the wrong apartment, using flash grenades and

kicking a resident in the groin before they realized their mistake. "We

don't know how the mistake was made," said police. Silvia Bernal, 30,

said 15 officers burst through the front door of her apartment while she

was cooking dinner about 8:20 p.m. She said the officers kicked her

husband in the groin while she fled into a bedroom and barred the door

with her body. Then a police officer went outside and realized they had

raided the wrong residence. Can you say lawsuit?

CALIFORNIA LAW: NEUTER DOGS AND CATS-REQUIRED

A bill up for consideration  would require pet owners to spay and neuter

their dogs and cats, or face a $500 fine for each animal.

PARIS HILTON WON’T APPEAL

After being released from an LA jail and put on house arrest, then

hauled before a judge and re-jailed the heiress has decided not to

appeal her 45 day sentence. She says she is "learning and growing" from

her time behind bars.


 

DAVID LETTERMAN ESCAPEE:

The man once accused of plotting to kidnap David Letterman's son,

escaped while working at a Montana prison's ranch. Kelly A. Frank and

another inmate are being sought by Montana authorities.

"More Shreks are coming!" producer Katzenberg said at a news conference

in Berlin on Friday.

 

GREY’S ANATOMY STAR LOSES GIG

Isaiah Washington has lost his job on the hit ABC medical drama "Grey's

Anatomy," five months after creating a furor with his use of an anti-gay

slur. Hi contract option was not renewed for next season. "I'm mad as

hell and I'm not going to take it anymore," Washington said.


 

ALL PACINO HONORED

The iconic star received the American Film Institue’s Life Achivement

Award. The actor came with few words:  "I need a character," the

67-year-old actor said, overwhelmed with emotion. "I don't think of

myself as being able to do anything."


 

GEORGE MICHAEL GETS ANOTHER BREAK

The pop singer avoided jail for being found slumped over a wheel of a

car intoxicated for the 2nd time in six months. He’ll get an alternative

sentence, not decided on yet. He said: "I had done something really

wrong in putting other people at risk."


 

MICK JAGGER PERFORMS WITH BOTHER

Chris Jagger was performing at a little pub in London when his brother

Mick finally joined him on stage. When it finally happened, the audience

numbered about 40.
