NOW HERE’S A FUN RUN!
Summer Solstice revelers will be able to run around naked in Riga,
Latvia this weekend.  The naked part of “Jani” the solstice celebration
is new, it usually just involves family gatherings, singing, drinking
beer and eating cheese, as well as leaping across bonfires.. Note to
self ( the leaping across bonfires part should not be done naked)

THE FRENCH, WINE AND ROMANCE
Those things seem to go together. Here’s the latest: "Soif de Coeur" (A
Thirst for Romance) bottles of red or white wine contain a unique code
in their labels that you enter into a dating website. It then matches
you with some who also bought a bottle of the wine. Most using this new
on line dating method have been women 30-40, though at least one 80 year
old man has taken the plunge.

MORE LIQUOR IN THE NEWS
This time it’s from India, where police have a problem on their hands.
Rats are breaking into their stores of seized illegal booze. Their
chewing into the cans of beer and whiskey and you got it. Getting
sauced! The drunken rats are really causing a problem,  attacking people
near the police buildings, nibbling at their toes.

HOMER IS SAFE:
A statue of Homer Simpson was stolen by two exuberant , college student
fans in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia. The statue was part of a Movie-plex
exhibit. Homer will now be reunited with his cartoon family.

I-BRELLA?
Japanese scientists have now developed an umbrella that allows the user
to go on line while walking in the rain.

GOLFING CAN BE DANGEROUS
This guy hits into the rough at the Wildcreek Golf Course outside of
Reno, Nevada. As he used his iron to hit from the rough he hit something
that created a spark. That in turn started what ended as a 20 acre
wildfire. 50 firefighters and police arrived to handle the blaze.

HEY WHERE’D YA GET THAT WATER?
An investigation is under way in Kansas City. Police say firefighters
hooked their hose up to a hydrant to fill a private pool. That
constitutes theft.

MORE WATER…..
It used to be right here! That’s what some locals are saying after a
complete lake has disappeared in Patagonia, Chile.  The belief is that
the earth opened up and literally swallowed the entire 12 acre lake.

The horror director is neighbors with the comedian and says that a
landslide occurred on his property in December after Shore upgraded his
home with a pool, spa, landscaping and other improvements.
