Orville Delong was almost whacked on the golf course. He heard an 'eerie whizzing' sound
which ended up being a meteorite passing within inches of his ear at an estimated 124 mph.
The University of Toronto wanted to study the meteorite so they gave Orville a
years golf pass. Orville says he's having trouble getting partners. Just a couple of years
ago he was struck by lightning while golfing.
GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE GETS JANE...
Or at least Afton Smith. Brendan Fraser broke many a young woman's heart by saying I do
with Ms. Smith last Sunday. Fraser and his new bride will honeymoon after he finishes
filming "Dudley Do Right" in Vancouver, BC.
BAD BOY BOBBY BROWN OUTTA JAIL.
Whitney Houston's husband was released Friday after serving 5 days on a drunken dribing
charge. He now heads into a court ordered rehab program.
BARBIE'S BAD HAIR DAY
A $200,000 federal lawsuit was filed by Janice Amundsen. Janice collects Barbies and the
Color Magic Barbie she got over the Internet from Lori Maddox cost her $1800. Ms. Amundsen
claims that when the collectible arrived it's hair was falling out and that Maddoz
wouldn't refund her money. Maddaox claims Amundsen tried to dye the hair a wrong color,
causing the follicle nightmare. TGhus the lawsuit. (din't they both know it was the Sinead
O Conner Barbie :)
CRUISING TO THE RESCUE
Tom Cruise and his bodyguards chased off some robbers as they stole jewelry from a woman
on a downtown London street. Cruise is still in London where he's lived for the past year
while filming "Eyes Wide Shut". His wife, Nicole Kidman is also starring in the
movie and getting rave reviews for her stage appearance in "The Blue Room".
MONEY FOR MONICA
Oprah says she doesn't pay for interviews. Roseanne's not so noble. She says she'd pay
Lewinsky in the seven figure range times two or three.

John Lennon sent a poem to poet Susan Baker back in 1969 at her request. The poem he
penned was the "F" word 104 times around a singular "you". The poem
signed by John and Yoko will be auctioned off October 10th in England. There's no idea
what the ditty might bring at auction.

Patricia Henderson was rushed to the hospital in New HArtley, England recently when she
was munching on some pre-prepared salad greens only to encounter a 'live toad' in the bag
of salad, Ms. Henderson experince extreme abdominal pains which it was later determined
was because of the extensive amount of screaming and not any poisening of the salad.
