DICK TRACY WOULD BE PROUD
The time is 4pm. You are located at...Casio has announced a new product. A
wristwatch that not only tells the time it also helps the wearer keep track of their
location on planet Earth utilizing GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) technology. The high
tech wristwatch will cost around $490 and will be available beginning this spring.
OVER 99 BILLION ALMOST SERVED!
In a sign the Armagedon can't be far off...McDonald's had to issue a formal apology after
the British public went overboard on Micky D's TWO FOR ONE offer on Big Macs. The fast
food chain ran out of the popular hamburger during a promotion to celebrate the
restaurant's 25th anniversary. It caused near riots in some stores as customers became
irate when they realized they couldn't get their Big Mac. The Star tabloid came up with a
solution. A recipe for "How to make a Big Mac".
A BUTT FULL OF BUCKSHOT !
A Baton Rouge, Louisiana store owner was upset over a number of burglaries at his store so
he decided to spend the nights there. He even set up a home grown alarm system to detect
intruders, a motion detector Christmas tree that yells Merry
Xmas everybody and starts singing Jingle Bells when someone
approaches...Yeah he didn't like it either, but it did help to detect two burglars who
broke in using a crowbar. Mr. Leon Wilson promptly started firing, aiming low because he
didn't want to kill anyone and unloaded a load of buckshot into two 16 year old's butts.
No charges file yet.
POPE ON A ROPE, GET YOUR POPE ON A ROPE HERE !!
Some shady entrepreneurs in Mexico have been selling "tickets" to events that
the Pope is to officiate at when he makes his visit to Mexico later this month. Only
problem, there are no tickets. All of the events are free for the millions expected to
attend.
SAY IT AIN'T SO..LUKE SKYWALKER
George Lucas says that once his newest STAR WARS trilogy is done that he's finished with
the Star Wars series. The 'prequel' series which documents Obie Wan and others in
the early years comes out May 21st with "Episode 1: The Phantom Menace". Two
other 'prequels' are promised in 2002 and 2005.
ELTON HITS THE ROAD SOLO!
Elton John will go on the road with just a piano opting to leave the band behind on a tour
of US cities that begins Feb. 19 in Roanoke, Virginia. He will also play in Tennessee,
Florida, Mississippi, Michigan, Louisiana, Iowa, Alabama and Illinois.
A MILANO MARRIAGE
Alyssa Milano has gotten married to musician Cinjun August Tate .
The 25 year old actress of Melrose Place, Charmed and who;'s the boss is 255. She recently
won $250,000 in a lawsuit against an Internet site forcing the removal of nude pitcures of
her. Two other suits are pending.
